The small rubies were placed in the empty mold and the molten silver was poured onto them. Rubies can withstand the intense heat of this process. I find that incredible! The stones shift slightly so no two rings can be alike. Three stones are cast in this ring. The raised silver on the top of the ring is where the silver was poured into the ring mold. In it I set a 4. 5 mm round ruby of half a carat. I
